Is Biosil a nanomaterial?

Yes, Biosil products are formed from nanoscale primary particles (1-100 nm) with nano-sized pores inside.

During polymerization process, nano primary particles aggregate and agglomerate together to form micronized powder particles.

As defined by ISO/TS 80004-1:2015, nanomaterials are classified to Nano-objects (any external dimensions in the nanoscale) and Nanostructured materials (internal or surface structure in the nanoscale).

Thus, Biosil products in a powder form can be classified as nanostructured/nanoporous materials.
